If you are coming from North or South America, you lose a day. For example, if you leave on a Friday, you arrive in Auckland on Sunday. We suggest that you arrive by Monday or Tuesday to adjust to the time change and to get to know the course and area.

Flights to New Zealand via the Auckland Airport (AKL)  are available from a variety of destinations.

It is best to fly into Auckland and utilize our transfer service to and from Taupo because flights into Taupo (TUO) usually will not accept bike boxes. If you are shipping your bike to the race then you could fly into Taupo (TUO).

No. Our travel package includes all the transportation you might require on your trip (to all race-related functions, supermarket trips, dinner shuttles, course tours, etc.).

In New Zealand, you drive on the left-hand side of the road. If you are used to driving on the right-hand side, this can be a challenge to remember, especially when pulling out into traffic or after a long flight. That is why we suggest using our transfer service to and from Taupo.

The drive from Auckland Airport to Taupo takes about 3.5 hours.

Yes, we can store your bike near Auckland airport with our optional transfer service. You can pick it up prior to your departure, or we can deliver it to the airport before your departure.
